- Early Morning Hotel Pick-up: Your journey begins early in the morning with hotel pick-up from your accommodation in Cusco. Travel south through the beautiful Andean countryside while enjoying panoramic views of valleys, mountains, traditional villages, and agricultural landscapes. Along the way, your guide will introduce you to the history and cultural importance of the region.
- Breakfast: After several hours of travel, stop at a local restaurant to enjoy a traditional breakfast before continuing deeper into the Andean highlands.
- Circuit of the Four Lagoons: Before reaching Qeswachaka, visit the beautiful circuit of the Four Lagoons: Pomacanchi, Acopia, Asnaqocha, and Pampamarca. Surrounded by rolling hills and peaceful rural landscapes, these scenic lakes are home to native bird species and offer excellent opportunities for photography while your guide explains their ecological and cultural significance.
- Arrival at Qeswachaka Inca Bridge: Continue to the impressive Qeswachaka Bridge, suspended approximately 30 meters (98 feet) above the ApurÃmac River. Built entirely from woven ichu grass, this extraordinary bridge measures around 28 meters (92 feet) in length and is reconstructed every year by nearby communities following ancient Inca traditions that have remained unchanged for centuries.
- Your guide will explain the fascinating history of the bridge, its engineering techniques, and the annual rebuilding ceremony that has earned international recognition as part of Peru's Intangible Cultural Heritage.
- Visitors will have the opportunity to walk across the bridge (weather and safety conditions permitting), admire the spectacular canyon views, and capture unforgettable photographs of this remarkable feat of traditional engineering.
- Lunch: After exploring the area, enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant featuring regional cuisine before beginning the journey back to Cusco.
